Ion cross

Tech

The game features procedural ships, minerals, planets, ores and everything, basically.

Plot

Somehow, the nazies returned from intergalactic space. The new earth federation must stop it. You must cooperate with other space factions and research technology to fight against the reich. For example, the new earth destroyer can put up a fight against the reich.

Gameplay

You have 45 minutes to defeat the nazi flagship. Once the time is up the nazi flagship destroys your home and the game is over. You can research various upgrades at your central station near your planet.

You control a ship, your goal is to lead your faction to victory. The planets offer minerals which can be sold, traded or used for ship hull or fuel repair. Perks can also be found in the planets which can be acquired in a small minigame. By default, you can't mine minerals, you need a mining laser which you can get from looting ancient artifacts.

You can shoot other ships and loot them too.

When you get shot, you might warm up or cool down. Doing that too much will start to break your hull. Receiveing too much damage will cause your ship to blow up. Dying will cause you to fail the game instantly.

Moving consumes your fuel. Make sure to refuel frequently at trade stations.

Trade stations

You can sell minerals, refuel and buy ships here. Faction specific trade stations require you to have positive alignment with that faction.

Controls

You can move with W,S,A,D and shoot with E.

Factions

The ships of your factions will follow you and help you eradicate enemy ships.

Enemy ships will target you.

There are several factions:

  • New Earth: You.
  • The nazies: Your mortal enemy.
  • The Kreketin: Features minelayers.
  • The nanomachines: Their ships consists of prebuilt blocks. They have all modules.
  • The republic of proxima centauri B: A modern faction who likes guns and war.
  • Xiiioix: A mining colony in deep space.

You can become friend with a faction by killing their natural enemies.

Strategy guides

This game is very hard. I will soon make a strategy guide for it, but for now, I, the creator didn't beat the game even once.

Trivia
